*Fall Season Starting Soon – Players and Coaches Needed*

Hello OGP YBL Families,

We had a great start to the Fall 2024 Season last night! The new OGP Youth Basketball Merger was on full display last night we had media and great staff in attendance. We have started the process of forming teams. We had a big surge of players sign up over the past few days which has created opportunities for form new teams. We have some spots to fill. So if you want to participate in the fall season now is the time to join!

We have the following needs:

1^st/2^nd Grade – 4 Players 1 Coach

3^rd/4^th Players – 5 Players 1 Coach

5^th/6^th Players – 4 Players 2 Coaches

7^th/8^th Players – 3 Players 1 Coach

We have sent out communications regarding the Alley-Oop Merger with OGP YBL. Below is the summary for the Fall Season.

Updates to the Fall League Season due to OGP Merger

No changes will be made to format or fees.
Expect to see improvements in media coverage and promoting of the league games
We will be moving to using the app called “OGP Youth Basketball League” it is an app that is powered by Exposure Events. In the app store type in “OGP Youth Basketball League” and you will see it.
The new app will be used for checking schedule, results, and standings.
For those that sign up individually rosters will be provided to Coaches and Players directly via e-mail and we will not be using the TeamSnap app.

Registration is Winding Down! Deadlines Approaching

Those that want to be placed on a team need to register by 8/23
Teams wanting uniforms and gymtime need to register by 8/24
Teams that do not need uniforms or gymtime need to register by 8/30

Important dates

Skill Evaluations are August 20, 1st - 4th Grade 6:00 - 6:30PM, 5th - 8th Grade 6:45 - 7:15PM
Teams formed by August 25
Practices start the week of August 26
There will be game nights every Friday and Saturday Night September 6 - October 19
Games on Fridays start at 5pm and Saturdays could start as early as 12pm.
Game schedule will come out Wednesday September 4 Late
Opening night weekend September 6 - 7
Regular season ends October 11 - 12
Playoff schedule posts October 16 Late, All teams make the playoffs, we create separate divisions based on the results of the regular season
Playoffs / Championships October 18 - 19

We take schedule requests (from coaches) and can satisfy them if received prior to schedule release. Send email to commissioner with "Fall 2024 Schedule Request" in the subject line.

**We will be at MAP Fridays and Marina HS or a Close by Middle School for Saturdays

****Season will be 7 games minimum (6 regular season and a single elimination playoff).
